If you go down to the woods today…

Transition Clevedon recently took over the lease on a community orchard, just off Brookfield Walk, owned by Clevedon Town Council. Although the orchard is open at all times for people to enjoy, this weekend (16/17 April 2011) we encouraged people to come and enjoy the apple blossom. The weather was gorgeous, and it was great to meet local people. In preparation we had cleared two picnic areas and a grassy path through the trees, as well as making the main entrance useable. We will keep these areas clear but probably won’t have a major work party until the main bird nesting season is over. In the meantime, just a few photographs of blue sky, sunshine, wild flowers and apple blossom to inspire you…
