In spring 2011 we took on a five-year lease of the Clevedon Community Orchard. The cider orchard is very overgrown at present but our plan is gradually to win it back so that we can create a place that the whole community can enjoy. We decided to create paths and two picnic areas in the first year but to leave the rest of the grass so that the wild flowers could grow and be identified. This is the link to a website devoted to the natural history of the orchard http://orchardflora.wordpress.com/.
Later this year we shall harvest the apples and look forward to Clevedon Community Orchard Cider!
